As part of the Daisy Mountain Fire Department CERT there are opportunities to participate in Drills. Some of the Drills
may be exclusive to our team while others may be run jointly with other teams. The purpose of the drills are to further
develop our level of preparedness and shake out rough spots while refining our systems.

Recently the Daisy Mountain Fire Department CERT participated in a drill which involved evacuating a care-home located
in our fire district. The drill involved a simulated dispatch through the Phoenix Alarm Room which instructed CERT
members to respond to different locations, check-in, complete a Triage skill station, communicate with other members
at different locations and converge of the care-home. Once at the care-home members needed to make contact with the
facility manager, assess the situation, develop and execute a plan. The drill concluded after having successfully
completed the assigned tasks and giving a pass-down to fire department personnel which included a Conditions,
Actions and Needs (CAN) report.
