Fire District Governing Board Members

Board Treasurer Wiatt Wong

Wiatt Wong is a native Arizonan, born in Flagstaff and raised in Payson. He attended the University of Arizona in Tucson. Upon receiving a degree in Business Administration he spent the early phases of his career in warehouse and distribution management. For the past 15 years Wiatt has been a commercial insurance agent. He is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and a Certified Risk Manager (CRM). He now is a partner in a family insurance agency along with his Wife and Father in Law.

Wiatt has served in leadership roles in several community agencies from being President of the Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club to serving as Chairman of the City of Kingman Economic and Tourism Development Commission. He has also served on boards for the Kingman Regional Medical Center, City of Kingman Planning and Zoning Commission, the Hualapai Valley Fire District and the Rotary Club at Anthem.

Wiatt’s involvement in the fire service started as an instructor teaching safety classes to fire departments across the state. This eventually led to him becoming a volunteer firefighter with the City of Kingman Fire Department. Wiatt is a Certified Firefighter I & II and he has been a Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT‐B). Since that time Wiatt has worked with fire departments all over the country to improve firefighter safety and risk management. Wiatt is a member of the Arizona Fire Chiefs Association, as well as the AFCA Training Section. Wiatt has been involved with the Arizona Fire District Association for over 10 years. He is currently taking classes to attain his AFDA Certification. He is now pleased to serve the community and share the experience gained from his past travels in his role as a board member and treasurer of the Daisy Mountain Fire District.

Wiatt, along with his wife Jodie and daughter Kaylee moved to Anthem in 2004. They stay very active in school activities at Gavilan Peak Elementary along with supporting Kaylee’s interest in musical theater. Wiatt enjoys golf, running and photography.
