Message from the Chief

Welcome to the Daisy Mountain Fire District (DMFD). The men and women that serve the communities of New River, Desert Hills, and Anthem are proud to share with you the many and diverse services that a modern fire service provides. As you will see visiting our website DMFD not only provides emergency services such as fire suppression, emergency medical services, and hazardous material response but is also is very active in the community providing non-emergency services. These services include but are not limited to, bike safety, CPR classes, citizen emergency response training, burn education, smoke detector installation, and fire inspections.

The DMFD is also a participant in an automatic aid agreement with 23 other cities, which provides additional equipment and staffing from other jurisdictions when emergencies exceed the Districts resources. The automatic aid agreement is a system which is used to dispatch the closest and most appropriate fire and life safety units to any address within the system, regardless of the geographical and political boundaries.  This sharing of resources is a tremendous cost savings to the citizens within the system.

DMFD are always looking for better ways to serve the community to provide the best service possible while still being fiscally responsible of the taxpayer’s dollar.

On behalf of the men and women that serve the community we would like to extend to you an open invitation to contact us if you have any questions or if we can be of service to you. We hope that you enjoy our website.

Best regards,

Mark Nichols, Fire Chief
