Generally, DMFM is permitted to release medical records or other protected health information to law enforcement when requested under the following circumstances:
To comply with a court order, subpoena or summons issued by a judicial officer, or grand-jury subpoena (45 CFR 164.512(f)(1)(ii)(A)-(B));
